The University of Iowa Association for Computing Machinery, ACM, is a student chapter of the much larger ACM organization. On campus the ACM promotes computing in a fun and friendly environment.

Throughout the year we hold a minimum of sixteen meetings which include a variety of events such as:

• Informative speakers from the University and other businesses
• LAN parties
• The UI Computing Conference
• The Hawkeye Challenge (smaller computing conference for high school students)

We meet roughly once every other week and will announce dates on our website's homepage along with our Twitter and Facebook pages. Everything we do is for students and by students with the help from the Computer Science department, which sponsors our organization. The ACM is open to any student at the University of Iowa.
