The Student Chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery at the University of Iowa, ACM@UIOWA, is a local student chapter of the much larger ACM organization. On campus, we promote computing in a fun and friendly environment. All of our activities are put on for and by the students with help from the Computer Science department, which sponsors our organization. A copy of our constitution can be found here.
Throughout the year we hold several meetings which include a variety of events such as:
- Informative speakers from the University and other businesses
- Computer Science Socials
- The UI Computing Conference (UICC)
- The Hawkeye Challenge (smaller computing conference involving programming challenges for high school students)
We announce meeting dates on our website, our LIST-SERV, and on our Facebook page. Feel free to join us at any of our events!
