The Student Chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery at the University of Iowa, ACM@UIOWA, is a local student chapter of the much larger ACM organization. On campus, we promote computing in a fun and friendly environment. We hold weekly meetings on campus, and we also host several large events throughout the year. All of our activities are put on for and by the students with help from the Computer Science department, which sponsors our organization. A copy of our constitution can be found here.

We have hosted various events over the years, such as:

  • Informative speakers from the University and other businesses
  • Computer Science Socials
  • The UI Computing Conference (UICC)
  • The Hawkeye Challenge (smaller computing conference involving programming challenges for high school students)

We announce meeting dates on our website, our mailing list and our discord. Feel free to join us at any of our events!
